Cloud Computing: Managed Methods and RackSpace Partnership

Managed Methods on Tuesday announced they have entered into the Partner Program with RackSpace Hosting, (NYSE: RAX), a specialist in the hosting and cloud computing industry. This relationship is designed to add mutual value for their current clients and to increase targeted exposure and reputation for both companies. Now companies that are building services and APIs in the RackSpace cloud will be able to secure, monitor, govern those services using CloudGate SaaS service which is co-located at the RackSpace public cloud infrastructure. "As companies move their services into public clouds there is an increased need for governance," said Al Aghili, CTO at Managed Methods. "CloudGate allows the consumers of services hosted in the RackSpace cloud infrastructure to use a SaaS service to easily secure, monitor and govern those environments with a solution that is simple to deploy. The consumer is not tied down to a large purchase and has the flexibility to only pay for what they need."
